Old Dominion Basketball High School League
Old Dominion Basketball is excited to offer an option for high school boys and girls in the area! Below you will find all of the information for the fall league and how to register.

Team Registration:
- Cost: $750.00 per team
- Registration is not complete until you have called 804-358-2775 to make payment. Payment must be made in one lump payment, not individual payments from each family on the team.
- Teams are formed by the athletes.
- Teams are not co-ed.
- Minimum of 6 players per team with a maximum of 10 players per team.
- AAU teams are welcome.
- Each member of the team must turn in a signed copy of the waiver attached below on the first day of the league. Athletes will not be able to participate without a waiver.
- Cost: $80.00 per Free Agent
- Registration is not complete until you have called 804-358-2775 to make payment.
- Free Agent teams will be put together by ODBL staff.
- **This registration is dependent on enough athletes registering individually**
- Free Agents must turn in a signed copy of the waiver attached below on the first day of the league. Athletes will not be able to participate without a waiver.
When:
- The league will run for 6 weeks, from September 10th - October 18th
- Games will be played on Thursdays and Sunday nights
- Schedule TBD

Rules and just a Bunch of Information:
General:
- 10 teams maximum for the Boys League
- 10 teams maximum for the Girls League
- The league is not co-ed.
- Minimum of 6 players per team with a maximum of 10 players per team.
- Games played on Thursdays and Sunday nights
- No practices or playoffs
- 2 coaches per team max
- One spectator per player
- 5 minute warm up
- Games will be two 20 minute halves (running clock).
- Two 30 second timeouts per half
- 5 minute halftime
- The clock stops the last 2 minutes of the second half, unless a team is down by 20 or more points.
- 5 minute overtime if necessary (running clock).
- 1 timeout in overtime
- High school foul rules
- Technical foul (2 shots and the ball)
- 2nd Technical foul (must leave building and suspended for 1 game)
- Athletes must bring their own towel
- Teams must provide their own coach
- High School players can not wear their high school gear
- High School coaches are not permitted to coach their teams
COVID Wavier and Procedures:
Waiver:
- A COVID waiver must be signed and turned in to participate in the league. See the attached waiver below, to print, sign, and turn in on the first night of the league. Athletes and coaches will not be able to participate if the waiver has not been turned in to staff.
- Everyone will be asked a set of health screening questions.
- Temperature checks will also be done. A temperature of 100.4 degrees or higher will not be permitted to remain in the building.
- All players and coaches must turn in a signed COVID waiver (attached below) before they can participate.
- Everyone must wear a mask while in all common spaces of the facility.
- One spectator per player
- Teams will be allowed to enter the building 15 minutes before their game, but they must wait in the designated waiting areas.
- Spectators can go back 5 minutes before the game
- Players are not required to wear a face mask during games.
- Coaches must keep their face masks on.
- There will be sanitation stations available throughout the facility.
- Basketballs will be wiped down by ODBL staff and changed frequently.
- Chairs will be spaced apart. Players must stay in the same seat for the duration of the game. Chairs will be wiped down between games.
- No lines to shake hands after games.
- Teams must exit the building promptly after the game ends and follow the designated exit path.
