Old Dominion Basketball Developmental Elementary League 

Old Dominion Basketball is excited to offer an option for 2nd - 5th grade boys and girls in the area! Below you will find all of the information for the league and how to register.
Registration:
  • Cost: $175.00 per player
  • Registration is not complete until you have called 804-358-2775 to make payment
  • Teams will be put together by ODBL staff
  • Players and spectators must turn in a signed copy of the waiver, attached below, on the first day of the league. Athletes will not be able to participate and spectators will not be able to remain in the building without a signed waiver

When:
  • The league will run from November 5th - January 28th
  • Games will be played on Thursday nights from 5:00 - 9:00pm

Rules and just a Bunch of Information:
General:
  • 8 teams maximum for the Boys League
  • 8 teams maximum for the Girls League
  • The league is not co-ed.
  • Games played on Thursday nights
  • 30 minutes of skill instruction before every game
  • Playoffs will be held
  • One spectator per player
League Rules:
  • 5 minute warm up
  • Games will be two 14 minute halves (running clock).
  • Two 30 second timeouts per half
  • 5 minute halftime
  • The clock stops the last 2 minutes of the second half, unless a team is down by 20 or more points.
  • 5 minute overtime if necessary (running clock).
  • 1 timeout in overtime

COVID Wavier and Procedures:
Waiver:
  • A COVID waiver must be signed and turned in to participate in the league. See the attached waiver below, to print, sign, and turn in on the first night of the league. Athletes and coaches will not be able to participate if the waiver has not been turned in to staff.
Entering the Building:
  • Everyone will be asked a set of health screening questions.
  • Temperature checks will also be done. A temperature of 100.4 degrees or higher will not be permitted to remain in the building.
  • ​All players and spectators must turn in a signed COVID waiver (attached below) before they can participate.
  • Everyone must wear a mask while in all common spaces of the facility.
  • One spectator per player
Before the Game:
  • Teams will be allowed to enter the building 15 minutes before their game, but they must wait in the designated waiting areas.
  • Spectators can go back 5 minutes before the game
On the Courts:
  • Players are not required to wear a face mask during games.
  • Spectators must keep their face masks on.
  • There will be sanitation stations available throughout the facility.
  • Basketballs will be wiped down by ODBL staff and changed frequently.
  • Chairs will be spaced apart. Players must stay in the same seat for the duration of the game. Chairs will be wiped down between games.
  • No lines to shake hands after games. 
Exiting the Building:
  • Teams must exit the building promptly after the game ends and follow the designated exit path.
