Financial Assistance
The financial assistance program awards funds to club members based on demonstrated academic achievement, financial need, and an interest in pursing volleyball.
Application Process
To apply for the ODVA Financial Assistance Program, you and your child must meet all of the following criteria:

Submitting the Application
Please fill out page 2 of the application at the bottom of this page, and submit it to the Executive Director of Athletic Programming, Elizabeth Ellinger, at eellinger@u-turn.org. When you submit the application you must also send the 2019 tax return for all parents/guardians, and the essay written by the athlete.

Application Process
To apply for the ODVA Financial Assistance Program, you and your child must meet all of the following criteria:
- Register for tryouts*
- Must be a full time student in middle or high school. The student must be in high academic standing with either a minimum of a 3.0 GPA or greater than a B average (for those younger athletes that do not have a cumulative GPA).
- Have intentions of graduating from an accredited high school or technical program.
- Demonstrate a need for financial assistance. Must submit previous year tax returns for all parents/guardians.
Your application will be evaluated on:
- An essay written by the athlete on their future goals. Consider the following prompt - “What are your future goals, and what are your plans to achieve them? How has volleyball influenced your future goals? What have you learned from the game that you can take with you after volleyball?”
- Demonstrated need for financial assistance. Must submit previous year tax returns for all parents/guardians.
